I have a question and hope it’s not too dumb of a question. The below is from the state record book at ihigh. Is the decimal in the wrong place? For example, should Crystal Cox’s ERA for 2001 be .007 rather than .07?

Here is the reason I asked. I started wondering why Katie Miller of Manteo was not in the record books. After all, she has been Manteo’s starting pitcher, MVP, and all-conference for four years and was all-state last year and probably will be this year also, and also has an impressive AAU resume.

Here is her page from pitchafit.com

    http://pitchafit.com/Miller NCAA.htm

    which reports her season ERAs:

    Freshman .683
    Soph .476
    Junior .072

There are other sections in the records I believe she might be included. As a freshman she went the distance in the longest game in state history:

Surely she would have had enough strikeouts to make the extra-inning strikeout list in the record books.

Yup, it was a dumb question. A pitcher who pitches 20 complete games and gives up only one earned run has an ERA of .05. Therefore, Miller should be on the list for all three of her previous years, and her 2003 ERA of .072 should put her all-time fourth behind Cox.
