Two questions for TBR. Don't have a clue on either. These came up in ASA play.

1)Umpire told me if a catch is made in contact with a temporary fence it is a ruled a HR.

2)Bleacher ump told me if a pitcher hits two hitters in the same inning they are ejected from the game.

Anybody ever heard of these 2....I haven't.....opinions.....

Both of these statements are ludicrous, unless they are local rules.

In all NORMAL rule sets: You can touch the fence while catching a ball for an out. You can accidently hit to consecutive batters and keep pitching.

I saw both this weekend. In fact, the fielder fell through the fence (twice in the same game, but only caught the ball once). Popped her hip out of joint and had be carried off the field. Was mad because she couldn't prevent the runner from 3B from scoring on the catch.

The next day pitcher hit two batters in a row. After that completed two more innings without another HBP or walk.
