Just a quick "thank you" to all the kids and parents who came to Wingate for the day.....we had a great day and even better than we expected weather wise. I am pretty sure everyone had plenty to eat. :munching_out: :35:

Awesome parents and kids on all 3 teams for sure....pretty darn talented on all 3 also....some great players present there today.

Will try and get some pics uploaded tomorrow.

Virtual Who's Who of TBR there today....Prklandsoftballdad, Dogjaw, Bothsportsdad, Hedgehog, Pop Rivers, LDFRDGUY...I am sure there were more....CFBall was there in spirit, he recommended one of our players, Cheeze was there in spirit with several of hit bats play....

    Thanks!

Thanks John for the invitation! It was exciting to see the talent level on the field yesterday. Looks like our sport will be well represented for many years to come. I really enjoyed meeting and talking to people about the young ladies and the direction in which we are going. It was a great day!!
Also, thanks for the kind words. I personally, and the NCFSCA believe promotion of the young ladies should be and is our number one priority. Any venue that features these talented young ladies is definitely worth the trip!

Well, well, well, I guess i need to chime in from up north here. John, excellant job this weekend. It is nice after all the years of local cutthroat parents bickering softball to see that so many of us from different parts of the state come together and enjoy each others company. This is what true softball is all about. I don't think i heard one negative comment about anyone, parents, coaches, and especially kids, which is a rarity in this day and age. Guru, you were missed bud, but there in spirit. i hate i didn't get to meet some of the other TBR participants if i had known any of you were there you were more than welcome to join ledfordguy and i at the top of the bleachers. By the end of two games i looked around and we had run everyone else off. lol Especially hate i didn't get to meet Pop in person and thank you for your help with one of my dd's earlier in the year. We didn't get where we wanted but your help was invaluable. food was great, thanks to whoever the cook was and all the people who helped put this on and Wingate for letting us use their facilities. hope everyone is peeling as bad as me. Also, would like to comment on the tryouts at Central Davidson saturday. Gene and the coaches were outstanding and put on a good tryout. And you want to talk about a veritable who's who in fastpitch in central nc. wow, some awesome talent on one field. thanks again to the Blues family and john especially for sunday and ya'll keep Ldfordguy straight down there and tell him that he's gonna have to loosen the reigns on that girl. like it or not they are GIRLS who will like eventually to get COOTIES um, i mean boys. God, how they grow up. prklandsoftballdad and the 16U Lady Cardinals

    Thanks...

    3 points....

1...I/we will not tolerate for one second anything but being/acting/looking/speaking/ etc. first class. There are too many (coaches and parents) who put up with nonsense and are selling out just to win. We simply won't have it...we would rather lose than put a team out there who is only in it for themselves...at some point they all have to begin the process of realizing there are other people in the world around them...boys included :hamer:

    2.....Guru is a piece of work....:ack2:

3.....LEDFRDGUY is for sale. The rest of his family is spoken for but he can be had. HA!! We love him, he is one of the good guys, don't think we can trade him. I did see it was awfully lonely up there at the top of the bleachers....

Thanks again for the post....it made for a really good day and great learning experience for the "baby blues"

    See ya at the park...
