I missed the week seven thread so I figured I would just give them their own.

Ragsdale swept through the Eastern Guilford Easter Tournament beating Eastern Guilford 10-0 in five behind Brandon Phelps third win of the season and Trevor Mullins who went 2-3 with 3 runs and a home run ( one of only two on the season for the Tigers.) Next they beat Southern Guilford 3-2 as Mullins got his 8th win of the season with a complete game, 1 ER, no walks and 9Ks. Not sure how many Ks Mullins has this year but it's over 60 for sure.

Last up was Northeast Guilford. Ragsdale took them out 10-3 as Ragsdale knocked 13 hits behind Catlin Carter's 4th win of the season against no losses. Jason Wallace was 4-4, Mullins was 3-4 and Carter 2-3 to lead the hitting attack.

Ragsdale is now back where they belong - first place in the Mid Piedmont 3A ( if ER over Randleman tonight was a true score) and back at #1 in the Impact Polls.

Ragsdale took out conference rival Southwestern Randolph 9-7 in a great come from behind win tonight. Ragsdale is now 7-1 in the conference and 18-1 overall on the season. Trevor Mullins is now a perfect 9-0 on the mound for the Tigers. He's a lock for the All State team the way he is pitching ( and hitting - although not tonight )

Next up for Ragsdale is the Hi Toms Classic Saturday in Thomasville (not sure who they play) then at home next Tuesday against rival Eastern Randolph who I'm sure is ready to play spolier in the conference.

Wossa, was just talking to someone the other day about the Mullins kid and was just wondering, will he be primarily a pitcher up at App St., or a position player? Because he's got an awful good bat. Whats the word...

not sure tj - I would assume pitcher but he could easily end up on first base.

Actually him signing with ASU isn't firm yet - he may be getting better offers after the monster season he is having.
