Time off, this time of the year is terrible for most of us but since we have some down time with hs/college,lets talk about some good little 12u and 14u travel teams playing this past weekend in Statesville, Concord and around other areas too! Boy, the teams are getting to be sooo talented, experienced and confident, not to mention alot of fun to watch! Wildfire and the Red Magic (14u)looked good and enjoyed watching Cobras and Surry team play! Did anyone see the aau tourney in Concord? I know its tough starting 14u and above before hs finishes so this topic may not flying...............prove it wrong??? Gotta Love travel ball!!!!!!!!:D :D

Statesville tourn. will prove be very helpful for coaches and players who had to experience the crunch plays due to the shortened games on Sun. due to the rain. The younger teams in the 14u got to see good strategy that they can use and counteract the next time . Great tourn. Red Magic is learning and loving it. Bring on the sunshine!

Wonderful time for all involved at this time of the year for 12 and 14 under groups..............and sure each will learn alot after a few tournaments under their belts since mother nature has caused alot of delays! Good luck to all this weekend!

I was at some of the tourney in Statesville. My daughter is just 10 and is learning the windmill. I came to try and learn a little about the fastpitch game. It opened my eyes as to how far we have to go in Iredell county(at least on the north end)to catch up. Anyone know of another tourney that will be close to the Statesville area, in the near future. I really enjoyed it. I also want my duaghter to see just how hard she needs to work if she is serious about the game.

Welcome to TBR and the world of Fastpitch.
you can check www.ncnsasoftball.com for more area softball, do a search with the word fastpitch or softball. You can also call your area High Schools and go catch a High School game during the week. Conference tournaments are starting next week and regional playoffs after that. You and your daughter should enjoy the game at that level.

Thanks for the info Dawgfan. My high school I believe is on the outside looking in, North Iredell. May try to catch some of the other schools though. Thanks again for the link. I will be back often.
