Don't know if you guys have seen tonight's brawl yet, but if you haven't tune into Baseball Tonight. This was not one of those everybody run on the field and find someone to hug things. It was some really upset guys throwing haymakers (not many landed). Coco Crisp got by far the worst of it as he charged the mound, got tackled by Ray's catcher, then before the cavalry could arrive, about four Rays jumped him and pummeled him. Going to be some big suspensions with this one.
Then, if that wasn't enough excitement for one game, Manny went after Youkilis in the dugout over something and teammates had to restrain them. Full moon in Boston?

    Hey guys:

After last nights hard slide on a steal attempt with a 5-1 lead (if it were breaking up a DP I could understand, but it wasn't), everybody knew this was coming... Revenge was inevitable... "unwritten rule of baseball". Havent seen the brawl yet (just got in at 1030) BUT I SUSPECT and knew this would probably happen.

Crisp is at fault on both ends of this one:

The slide yesterday started the whole thing and then he charged the mound when he had to know he was going to get plunked and the pitch was nowhere his head.

My problem with this is that when a Rays baserunner plowed into a Yankee catcher in Spring Training, injuring him to the point he was place on the 60-day DL, the Rays manager said it was just hard baseball.

I think the Rays have a case of "little man syndrome" and are just trying to get some respect.

Getting your "arse" handed to you 7-1, ain't the way to do it.

...and Coco throws gas on the fire, refering to the scratches on his face as done by little girls and saying they were pulling on his dreads.

Uhm... ya probably should watch the post game comments, as the video shows you got popped and owned. The scratches most likely came from your own hands trying to cover your face...lol You got yer punch in on the pitcher... hope Coco enjoys watching the replays on Sportscenter all day....lol

Love this line from a sportswriter, "If the haymaker thrown by Shields had landed, it would have made Kermit Washington look like Kermit the frog." It was thrown with evil intention.
Speculation is that Yoooookilis called out Manny for not getting out of the dugout fast enough during the brawl.

My son and I were watching sportscenter and I laughed when, after Manny and Yoookilis got into it, and he said "Roid Rage." :FightenSmilie:

    New rule

Swing at some you are fired. Banned for life. Simple no fines, no playing for a few games. Fired no appeal. You lost you job. Maybe the young talent can show them how to act. Move them up and get some guys that want to play the right way. Be role models. Get rid of this money crap. They make to much anyway. If you want to fight and get paid. I'm sure Ultimate fighting has some openings.
