What right does that give any player. You would think that people today would look back a few years and say " What works?" Sorry but, if some poeple would have popped that butt once in a while. I see it as the umpires job to control those things. And if he can't do it find someone who can. We had our kids learn to play the game. They do very well at it. But, were do they get the idea to slide in spikes high, crash the catcher and throw at the head of a player? This is a great game but leave the football on the other field.

 

They do...it's called coaches. This has been going on since Prespter slud into Abner Doubleday. I don't know why this is even an issue. The players settle scores and it happens in every sport. Shoot, some of you would have wanted to ban Bob Gibson and Don Drysdale for a lifetime.

Do you know why those guys were never attacked on the mound......because batters were afraid of them.

This ain't weekend powderpuff football. As Ukey said, there is a code of play in baseball and there are responses when they are broken.
