    Congratulations to Madison High third baseman, Rebekah Huff, on signing with Mars Hill College.
    Rebekah played summer ball with Southern Explosion.

    Tony-
    The entire 2005 Southern Explosion summer team has signed or committed to play college ball-with the exception of Kristi, who has another year of high school ball.

    Great job by the Explosion in selling their kids and preparing them for the next level.

    Great Job Rebekah....I loved watching your hustle and all around game. Play anywhere. You will have a great career at Mars Hill. I am sure Alan Parham was glad to see you keep your talents close to home. I know there were quite a few schools interested in your talents.

    I would also like to say thanks to Tony Stepp who was there with me at the beginning with Southern and worked as hard as any coach I've been associated with in the years I've been coaching. He saw Rebekah play and said we needed to get her on the team. I think Rebekah's family should also be recognized for giving up their time and money to help her get to this point. I met them last year and I now understand why Rebekah is the not only the player she is but also the person inside. Excellent Student-Athlete.

    Rebekah is a wonderful person and we have enjoyed spending time with her family the past couple of years with Mixed Forces and Southern Explosion. She is an excellent student-near if not the top of her class and on top of that leads the drum line for the marching band.
