My son maxed out on academic money and could not receive a baseball scholly. He became an invited walk on and is a member of his team now.

Did you son have to sign any legal documents saying he was going there...i mean there is a possibility of injury and if that happens can they just be like sorry but we dont want an injured player and pull you off the team? anything hyou can sign

There is no "legal" document. Some schools may have you sign something saying you are going there, or have you go ahead and apply and be accepted, but anything less than than an NLI is of no legal value.

SO to answer your question, can they pull you off the team, the answer is yes. However, if you name is placed on the final "squad list" normally they cannot replace you on the roster for the remainder on the season. (There may be an exception for injuries). I think the final "squad list", a/k/a roster, is due by the first spring game.

Our policy is to have the student sign a waiver of liability form. They also must produce a current physical from their physician. They work out until we cut them.
