Recruiting/Exposure Information

Braves, there are some great threads on Softball about "recruiting", "NLI", etc. Is there any way to transfer some of the "informational" posts on those threads over to Baseball for baseball parents who are asking the same questions? ie "How do I get my son recruited?" "What are the steps?" "What if he doesn't play on a travel team?" "How do I know if the comments we're getting from college coaches are the ones we're looking for?" "Official visits/Unofficial visits", etc, etc etc. There are a lot of us out there who are not coaches, scouts, or "one who is in the know" who have kids wanting to go to the next level, but we have no idea how to get them there.

 

Things are different in the two worlds (baseball recruiting vs softball recruiting).

Information may not be as useful, but I'll dig up some of the better threads on Recruiting and put a sticky on it.

flotg- what a great question. What sometimes happens is that we tend to forget that although we have been here for 4 years now and have discussed in details about recruiting, that we are always a new board...new members.

Some of our old timers have been talking about recruiting since the inception of the board. They just have to be reminded that although the information is not new to them, it is to many others.
