    Marvin Ridge vs. South Point

    A good series played by two good teams. South Point was able to keep their composure and their pitcher settled in after giving up 2 runs in the first and won 6-2. Congrats and good luck to South Point in what should be a great final with them and NE Guilford. I want to give a shout out to Mark Mennitt and the boys over at Marvin Ridge for a hell of a run. He is a heck of a coach and teaches the game the right way. I know his kids would absolutely run thru a wall for him and he makes the game fun for players and fans to watch. I have enjoyed every minute of the last four years I have been on his coaching staff and I hope there are more runs like this one in the future!

    Good folks!

    Great show of sportsmanship by both teams trying to get this game in. The Roberson folks and the East Meck folks worked to get the field playable. My son hated losing but made it a point to comment that, "the people up there were cool."

    It is always better to be a part of the solution than to be a part of the problem!

    That is the plan. Would like to think it would be a great game but final scores so far indicate it will be a blow out. As far as which team will blow out the other is anyone's guess. Probably Dylan Shutt starting for SEG. He is tough to beat but the way TC swings it, he better bring his "A" game.

    Dallas Newton, after a rocky start last night in first inning where he gave up 3 hits and 3 runs, no hit TC rest of the way for complete game victory. That is one gutty performance against one of best hitting teams in state.

    Wish I could be there for game 3 but cant make it. But I hope someone will give us inning by inning updates here. Best of luck to each team.

    I bet that it doesnt work out that way too often do to 1 and done playoffs. Agreed, it should be heck of series.

    TC declared winner after review by final score 7-3. Holly Spring next up for TC in finals.

    BEING REPORTED THAT HOMER BEING CONTESTED and may not count!

    7-3 TC wins with walk off HR in bottom 7

    TC gets leadoff on no outs

    TC goes up 3-1 after 6

    2-Jack by SEG ties it in top 7.

    Newton solo homer for SEG 1st run

    what a game!

    Color me stupid Big Stick, but I don't understand a word of your post. Was it 4-3 or 7-3? How can homer be protested?
