    Good Morning!

Planning on traveling towards Gastonia today -

Could anyone share a weather report for this area?

There is just something about "weather.com" I do not trust anymore...

Looking for facts on rain chance, "gut feelings," anything will help.

    Thank You!

It doesn't matter too much about the rain because Ashbrook has just about the best concession food in the state .....

    Bring an appetite !!!!!!!!

I would expect a rain delay if not before the game, then during the game ..... This area of the state has picked up over 3 inches of rain recently, so the ground is saturated still. Ashbrook drains very well, so they should be able to get the game rolling quickly once it stops.

If you are intending to travel to Central Cabarrus, It doesn't drain ..... ever .... They will need some luck to get the game in today.

I haven't seen the field at Piedmont (ditto East Rutherford) to know how it drains ....

    Best weather web site.

    easternncsportsturf.org

Click on "weather" on the right.

This page is the homepage for the NC Sports Turf Organization. Great resource for those who oversee athletic fields. Headed up by Tommy Walston, groundskeeper at Kinston's Grainger Stadium.

    Hey Nuff .....

You are right .... that's the best regional radar I've seen. Much better than Weather.com for seeing what's coming our way.

    Thanks for the link.

ImpactBB come on over. Lots of local hotels within a couple miles of Ashbrook. You can stay over and help work on the field if it rains! :)

I hope you've already left Greenville by now, so we'll just look for you at the game...near the concession stand!

    Forcast for tonight ...

Heavy rains along the coastal regions .... Thunderstorm currently going on in the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area ....

Small band of rain down around Greenville/Spartanburg, moving slowly towards Charlotte region .... may pass south. Mountain area looks good. Raliegh region clearing after heavy rains earlier today ... fields in Raliegh-Durham area may be un-playable.
