Enka sophomore pitcher Dale Innes shut Roberson down for the second time this season, allowing only six hits in a 4-2 victory on Tuesday.
Coupled with North Buncombe's 15-4 loss to Tuscola, the Jets have clinched at least a share of the Mountain Athletic Conference regular-season championship.

West Forsyth beats Davie 10-0 in 5 innings

West piled up 13 hits in the lopsided victory. Alex
Robertson pitched a 2 hitter with numerous strikeouts. David Todd, Garrison Lassiter, and Sammy Lucas combined for 9 hits and numerous rbi's in the victory. West has Senior night Wednesday vs Carver, Friday at North Forsyth, and next Tuesday at North Davidson. Great win for West.

South Caldwell defeats McDowell 12 - 2 in 5 innings

I didn't get to attend the game but someone called and gave me an update. Brad Chavis hit his 6th home run in the last 4 games alone. He was 3-3 with the HR and 2 doubles and a walk.

Game was tight with South leading 3-2 heading into the 4th inning when South's offense exploded for 6 runs and broke it open. In the bottom of the 5th South scored 3 runs to end the game. Cody Penny was the winning pitcher for South.

    Ragsdale 5
    Randleman 2

good ball game with second place on the line on a rainy night in Randleman. SO Billy Stone pitched a great game tonight. Was hoping he could get a complete game, but his first walk of the night with one out in the 7th, followed by a single chased him. On the night he gave up 7 hits, six singles and a double, striking out two with one walk. I believe Stone is 3-0 for the year now.

I got there in the second (watched most of a great JV game in Jamestown -Randleman won 6-5) Randleman was up 1-0, Ragsdale had the bases loaded, two outs. Desean Anderson beat the throw and tag to first to drive in a run and tie the score. Ragsdale scored another in the fourth on back to back two out doubles by Billy Stone (could have been scored an error) and Nick McBride.

SS Kyle Brandenburg (played a great game in the field) led off the fifth with a single, chasing Trogdon. Tuttle relieved, got Ben Fultz on a fielders choice. Fultz easily stole second, then came home on a sharp single by Nate Cash. Cash also stole second, advanced to third on a passed ball. FR Zack Hodges drew a walk, then got picked off first base, but heads up running by Cash as he broke for home and beat the tag. Ragsdale up 4-1 after five.

Ragsdale literally stole thier last run as Ben Fultz led off the seventh with a SO, but the catcher lost the ball ( it was actually right in front of him, but Fultz and his speed easily got to first. Fultz then stole second and third and went home when the throw was wide of third.

In the seventh the rain picked up as Brandenburg relieved with one out, runners on first and third. A fielders choice got a run in, two hit batters loaded the bases, but a grounder to second ended the game.

Ragsdale goes to 16-5 on the season, 8-3 in conference, wrapping up second place with a big game ( for pride only) on Thursday night at home with SE Guilford.

Mount Tabor defeats RJ Reynolds 3-2 tonight. Great pitchers duel between Charles Anthony from RJR and Parker Thomas from MT. Thomas threw a NO HITTER and Anthony threw a 5 hitter. MT was down 2-1 in the bottom of the 7th with runners on 1st and 3rd and one out when Sam Rodgman singled to right to tie the game and the ball was thrown out of play to allow MT to score the wiinning run. Great game and a tough one for either team to lose. MT improves to 4-4 in the CPC and RJR drops to 3-5. Huge game on Friday with Davie County traveling to MT, both teams are 4-4 and the winner will probably wrap up the 3rd seed in a tough conference this year.

CVAC FOARD 10 BUNKER HILL 5

On a very WINDY and emotional SENIOR NIGHT for Chad Rothlin and Andrew Wyant, the tigers used the "long ball" to defeat the bears. Solo home runs by tigers Gage Ward and Jacob Bradshaw in the 2nd inning are answered by a 3 run home run and a solo home run for the bears in the top of the 3rd. Foard plates a run in the 3rd to cut lead to 4-3 and then erupt for 5 runs in the 5th thanks to a 2 run home run by Chad Rothlin and a 3 run shot by Robert Mckinney to take a 8-4 lead. Bunker Hill scores a run in the 5th without a hit and foard scores 2 in the 6th for the final score of 10-5. Wyant picks up the win going 6 innings with 10 k's, Rothlin throws the 7th with 2 k's. Leading hitters for tigers, Mckinney 3/4 hr, Wyant 3/4 2 doubles, Jason Jinorio 2/4 double, Ward 1/3 hr,bb ,Bradshaw 1/3 hr, Rothlin 1/4 hr,. Tigers must get ready for maiden on thursday, who i am being told defeated Hibriten tonight, which creates a 3 way tie (Foard, Saint, and Hibriten) for 1st in the CVAC.
