    David Lee from West Stanly has accepted the head coaching job at Richmond County. West Stanly's loss and Richmond County's gain. David is one hell of a coach and a great person. Richmond County will benefit greatly from this move.
    This is a huge loss for West Stanly. The leading candidates at this time at this time for the West Stanly job is Legion Coach Marko Little, and a sleeper would be Tate Osborne.

    to the highly acclaimed hometown boy who returned from somewhere in Wilmington? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    the guys name who just took this job from wilmington somewhere just last year I thought and why did he leave that is the point?

    Trent Mongero took another baseball job in Georgia. It was simply a matter of being closer to family and economics according to what I have read in the newspapers. Really I am not familiar with the specifics of why he left.
    Coach Lee on the other hand got an offer that he couldn't afford to look past. I mean he goes from coaching at a 2A school to one of the biggest 4A schools. The economic side between the two jobs are major. Quiet frankly Lee was a proven Coach and teacher based upon what he did at West Stanly. We would love to have him stay here to teach and coach.
    But with a star burning as bright as he was, we knew there would come a day where this could or would happen. Richmond County will be blessed to have him, Scotland County will hate him because all he does is teach kids how to win. West Stanly appreciates everything he has done for our area. The program he built here will continue to shine because of all of his work and dedication to the boys and the program.
