    Tourament still on?

Would appreciate it if anyone knows if this tournament will still be played tomorrow at Walnut Creek. OR If you know where to go, or who to contact to find out if they are still going to get these games in.

    Thanks.

    I Wouldn't Think !!!

My guess with 2-3 inches of rain and more coming over night, and 40-50 mph winds even you die-hard softball players / parents want play in that type of environment !!!

    play ball

could they have played after all? sunny but very windy all day Sat. in Raleigh area.
Wind would have dried fields but would have made the play a tough go.

    anyway......................

    Fields at Walnut Creek.....

....were under water. I checked them out around 5 p.m. and BTW, the bottom fell out of the sky at the same time. 8 or 9 fields? All to be used non stop from morning to night. In order to get those fields in shape to play at 9 a.m., well, I'll quote CD/Windmllr, "theres not enough field dry stuff in NC, SC, and VA. to soak up the infields, much less the manpower to handle 9 fields". Oh well, I for one was really looking forward to seeing all of that talent in one complex. The good news is, Marlin, and fast tonyW. saved a bunch of $ by not picking up the TBR coaches meeting tab!
