I hear 'ya, Braves! Plus, it's on a school night!

You know we'd love to see you (and any others from the Braves Clan); but, we also understand competely if you can't.

I hope Robert had a great time last night. Also, I hope Prepster gives us an update of the festivities.

But I would like to take this time to wish Robert "Happy Birthday" today! I sure miss him not contributing to TBR...he is one of a kind!

    Thanks everybody

Thanks for all of the kind words everybody. Wednesday was a night that I will never forget. I am so blessed to have the support of so many family members and friends. Sharing that experience with them was by far the best part about the evening. The same goes for you guys, I cannot thank you enough for the support over the years. Hope everyone has a great and safe 2008. Ill do my best to post more consistently.

    Tremendous honor

I was lucky enough to be there to see Robert get the award. They put his record on the big screen video boards for all to see. I am still amazed at his 22-0 lifetime record at home for the Tarheels. Think about that for a moment. Four years and a 22-0 home record. Also Robert collected more wins than any Tarheel pitcher ever has. That would be enough for anyone but the real fact is he is a tremendous young man on top of that. I have had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times and he is so humble and generous with his time. Anyone that has ever watched him work at a camp will tell you he is outstanding with the players. All of them come back talking about how much they enjoy it when he works with them. I see a bright baseball career in the professional ranks. But I would not be surprised to see him coaching at a high level one day. Regardless of what he chooses to do once he hangs up the cleats he will be very successfull. Congratulations Robert the whole Tarheel nation is so proud of you not only for your success on the field but the way you went about doing it.

I really wished I could have been there. I know the whole Woodard family and extended family were there from eastern NC to the shores of the Pacific. What an incredible night for such a great guy.

I agree with Coach in that I see Robert as a coach either professionally or in college in his future.

I do have one question, though. As excited as Robert was that night, do you think he had enough adrenaline flowing and spring in his step to have dunked it over 7'7" Kenny George that night. Robert is an amazin' guy...it wouldn't have surprised me.
