Rockingham CC Baseball Update

Rockingham CC nine games in we are 5-4. with 3 walk off wins so far. Pitchers are at top form and our hitters are coming to form more every day.
nine games in 5 days was a tough trek but our boys really battled through it.
we have a few days off and Face GTCC saturday 1 pm at Greensboro War Memorial Stadium
and Danville CC(VA) noon at home Sunday. Admissions are Free at home!!! games

rcc...I hope to catch your game with Methodist's JV team here in Fayetteville, I'm hoping that I can get out of the school that day and get down to the field to catch a few innings and chat a little with you...glad to see your team is doing well!!

Rockingham CC Update Week Ending February 22, 2009​

Game 1 Saturday at Guilford Tech 3-2 walk off loss.

Another GREAT outing for Kenny Pope (Sanford NC) Pope Pitched 6 plus innings allowing just 4 hits, Striking out 5. GTCC picked up only one earned run off Pope. Shawn Flowers (Catawba NC)Allowed the Game winning bases loaded single in the Bottom of the Seventh. Hitting for the eagles was lead by Alex Loftin(Denver NC) who was 3 for 4 and Patrick Regalado(Miami Fl) with his first home run of the season and 2 RBI​

Game 2 Saturday at Guilford Tech 7-5 Loss for the Eagles ​

Starter Casey Collins (Sanford NC) Allowed 6 runs 3 of which were earned. Carlos Moreno (Miami Fl) Worked 3 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run in the tough fought battle. Offense was lead by Will Simpson(Cary NC) who was 3-4 Jeremy Revis (Reidsville NC) also added 2 hits to the eagle offense. ​

Game 1 Sunday Danville CC at RCC ​

The Eagles were forced to use extra frames to put down the Knights from Danville CC. Starting Pitcher Will Simpson worked 8 innings allowing a Lone run in the first inning. Simpson only surrendered 3 hits while picking up 3 K’s. Kevin French (Ruffin NC) pitched the 9th inning getting the win in walk off fashion after the Eagles loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the frame, Patrick Regalado Lifted a fly ball into left scoring Jeremy Revis form 3rd on the sacrifice Revis was 3-4 for the game as well as Matt Parker (Snow Camp NC) was 2-4 at the bat.​

Game 2 Sunday Danville CC at RCC ​

Jake Rierson (Summerfield NC) pitched 5 and 2/3s innings of 4 hit, 5 strike out ball allowing 1 earned run to take the Win, Mike Shelton (Eden NC) picked up his first college save with a 4 hitter 4 out appearance . Offense for the game was lead by Alex Loftin 2-4 with and Scott Norris (Yanceyville NC) was also 2-4 with a walk.​

 

I guess we are like everyone else in this area and RAIN OUT man that stinks we needed to play
