    What an awesome career Coach Smith has had, if this is indeed it. I have coached in big games against him since his South Johnston days, and we had some great games when he moved to Rocky Mount. I have never felt I had a tougher matchup than when I sat in the dugout across from a Pat Smith-coached team.

    I too have known Pat since his days at South Johnston. When he took over at Rocky Mount for Danny Weaver, he did an excellent job with the program as I thought he would. He has always been a classy person and i wish him nothing but the best in the future!!
