    4 out of 8 #1 seeds remain; Hoggard. South View, Pinecrest and Holly Springs. Who has the best chance to play for the state championship?

    Breakdown by conference:

    Mideastern – Hoggard, EA Laney, New Hanover and Rose – historically strong teams.

    Greater Neuse River - Harnett Central.

    Mid-South - Jack Britt and Southview.

    Tri-Nine - Apex, Athens Drive, Holly Springs and Lee County - very good showing and the winner may be in this group.

    CAP 7 – Wakefield and Broughton.

    Southeastern – Pinecrest, Richmond Sr and Hoke County.

    Who is the favorite at this time? Why?

    Somethin about Athens Drive... If they can play good ball then their talent won't allow them to lose anytime soon. Very underrated.
