Take nothing away from WB, they out played RM. Was a tough night for Moss as he had to throw it in a coffee can to get a strike. Then getting tossed while on deck in the top of 7th didn't allow him to pitch the bottom and give RM time to warm up Johnson. Just wasn't in the cards, but the scouting report was very true, don't get in a close game down there.

Johnson went straight to the pen when he came off the field in the bottom of the 6th. I think the coach was going to make the move anyway. I think the umpires were equally bad but I know when you are on the road you always think you get screwed. No doubt about it though, Hobbs Johnson and Benton Moss are legit and I wish Hobbs the best of luck at UNC and Benton another successful year at Rocky Mount before he heads to UNC.

    No question about it

The plate umpire at West Brunswick last night was a disgrace to the game. Jay Gause pitched a gem of a game and was simply outstanding on the mound. Tough night all the way around for the Rocky Mount team. Good luck to all the teams left in it - it's gonna be a wild ride to the finals!

Dickerson threw a complete game shut out (2nd in the playoffs for the Eagles) and the top 3 in the order had 4 of the 5 hits. Luke Dunlap and Landon O'Dell hit homeruns and Evan Orenstein was 2 for 3. East will face the winner of North Davidson and North Meck Friday night at East Forsyth!

Will that one be at Fleming? It's almost worth the drive from Cary to see some ball like that.

Wow. Hopewell and Kell lost. This has been a crazy but exciting playoffs in both the East and West. Congratulations to both East forsyth and Myers Park. Good luck in the 3 round.

It all depends on whether or not the the HUNT diamond is playable due to the rain. The game tonight was at Fleming Stadium. Hunt hit three balls that would of been out at their stadium. Junior Avery Harper threw a 3 hitter.
