    I thought I'd start this one for the purpose of updating the score, etc. Seems like the bracket thread is getting full .

    Instead of just putting up a new post each half inning or so, I will use the "edit button" and just change my post to reflect a current score.

    If I cannot stay with it until the end of the game, I will say so and hopefully someone will put in the final.

    Game is being broadcast on WCSL 1590 am. On internet, www.hrnb.com then go thru the WCSL site to listen live. Or go to www.radiotime.com and type in wcsl 1590 am cherryville, nc and that also should get you the broadcast, if the hrnb.com goes down.

    Sounds like Dr.Clyde's there playing his trumpet,,,,,

    .... but bless pat, lo and behold, I am SHOCKED,,,, they just announced that Jake Watts is pitching for Cherryville. Who woulda ever thunk that... :stunned:


    I'm still picking Rowan to win, in a close game... :peacemanmw:

    Clearly 2 of the best legion coaches in NC involved in this ballgame, Bobby Dale Reynolds(Cherryville) and Jim Gantt(Rowan County) both records speak for themselves.

    Just heard an impressive stat for Rowan which should help in a tournament, Coach Gantt has 7 different pitchers who have pitched in 10 games or more. Thats pretty deep on the hill.

    Also impressive is Jake Watts' career pitching record at Cherryville 27-3, and also tied for career homeruns with Ralph Roberts at 51 apiece. Not bad.

    After 5 complete, Rowan now up 3-2.

    Guess I can't complain about listening to game from home,,, afterall I have my chew, my Miller Lite AND some oreos...

    (actually a good combination) :juggle2:

    Chewing tobacco, beer, and oreo's!! Oh my! Don't think my big belly could handle that.

    I am trying to keep a running score up on post #3 by using the update feature. Just trying to hear things bit by bit on the broadcast.

    Cherryville radio doing a great job,,,,,,, but somebody tell them its Noah HOLMES,,, not Helms.

    How do they get Crucitti right, and screw up Holmes... :22_yikes:

    My only guess is that there is a typo on the roster. A big tournament prints all those rosters etc. in advance, and if there is a mistake, then it is almost impossible to get all the copies back. Other than that I don't know why.

    I have not met either in person, but I do know the man named as the winner. Boozie Dellinger is well known in town. Not surprised that he is there. Will probably stay as long as Post 100 is playing. Of all the people to win, Little Boozie! Nothing little about him!
