Rule Changes HS

    Among the rule changes:

    Giving false information to meet eligibility requirements results in 365 day ineligibility status for the player.

    Fighting in softball game results in 4-game suspension.

    Assistant coaches cannot question umpires' calls. Only the head coach can question calls. First two weeks coaches will be warned. After that, violation of the rule by the assistant coach, both the assistant coach AND the head coach will be restricted to the dugout for the remainder of the game. Assistant coaches are still allowed to ask for timeout. But not to discuss any calls with the umpires; they can still talk with the head coach during the timeout.

    There are other changes, but these are the ones I remember most.
