    Have not seen Braves around here for awhile... but I heard he was having dinner with Vicky Hamilton ( the Charlotte Meck AD)...rumor has it he is on a secret mission.

    He has secretly taken over the Garinger baseball program in Charlotte and is on a recruiting trail...the AD has given him an unlimited budget to secure top talent in the Charlotte area..but the rumor has it that he has already exceeded that budget.

    I know he is prowling the southside of charlotte for players and is heading for the northside next.

    To the following players....be careful!!!

    Braves is coming bearing gifts..he is selling his soul to turn the Garinger program into Conference Champs in one year and this guys has no morals...so to the parents of the kids mentioned...watch out!!!... He can be very charming, but don't let him fool you.

    Of course....this is just a rumor ;)

    I've heard he's working to accomplish this miracle through working with a "SIGN" company .... It seems they were out on Colony Road last week with a new "Garinger" sign... Hmmmm.

    There was a "West Charlotte" sign on a school on the south side of town that normally wears red colors .... it seems they are willing to go to any length in order to be competitive in football.

    rumor has it mat hill, starting 3rd baseman, was kicked off the team for being injured. makes no sense. are they doin some roster adjustments or something logical?

    Matt Hill's legion season is over. It's not worth the risk to hurt his ankle again.

    I would say that maybe Matt's ankle is not healing well. I don't believe it would do Rummage any good to kick Matt off the team since he cannot change his roster at this point. So maybe he was just looking for someone to vent at/to/blame for Pineville's inability to hit the Cherryville pitchers. For three games Cherryville was the winning team. I did not say better. But the thing that Cherryville seems to have is team unity. The gossip I hear (from a Gaston County adult who is fairly unbiased) is that the Cherryville team believes in themselves and each other. I don't know if that means anything or not, but you do not have players playing hurt. But why would Pineville not stick with the lineup they used against Charlotte, with Logan at third and Brett at first. As far as I know neither one of them is hurt.

    Unless I'm mistakened, Matt Hill did play 3rd the last two games in the Pineville vs. Charlotte series.
