    Noticed that Russell Wilson's not getting PT in baseball.

    Still problems with the knee from football ? or just beat out of a position?

    Still recovering from the knee problem. He is on a football scholarship at NC State, so I imagine Tom O'Brien is hoping he doesn't play this year to get his knee healthy for the upcoming spring practice and the season.

    yes he's in somewhat of a peculiar situation, maybe. I'd always heard his best shot at the pro's was in baseball, but I do enjoy his football prowess. he's an athlete.

    ....have you ever seen Dallas Poulk play 2nd, or hit?

    DP is a bonafide all-america baseball player.

    Can Wilson play, YES, but not over a stud like Poulk.
    I guess you'll have to take my word on this until you see first hand.
    JMO, so I called "folks in the know" and I was told that "yes, RW is still nursing his health, but could still play way above most", but "Dallas is the real deal".

    That is part of the reason Wilson will see more time in the outfield. With his speed he can track down any ball and obviously has the arm for throws to the plate or any other base.


    It is a tough situation for RW and Avent. Avent would love to have RW in the line-up but without the football scholly, Avent would probably use baseball money on RW and that would prevent Avent from getting another player. RW is a type player that doesn't come around that often where he can play both sports with so much success like he has had and throwing academics on top of both sports, I'm glad he does it because I know I never could.

    agree with you all about RW. and yes I know about Dallas Poulk; he's outstanding. Pre-season they were actually talking about RW seeing action at 3B, Hadn't heard about the OF deal.

    Anyway I've seen what he can do on the gridiron, now would like to see his full abilities on the diamond. But Avent's recruited well so that may be a tough lineup to crack for RW.

    Russell Wilson saw his first baseball action last night vs. UNCG.

    RW played 2B with Dallas Poulk at SS, and the previous SS Kyle Wilson in CF.

    experimenting?
