    Thanks for asking...He is playing in the Gulf Coast Rookie League in Winter Haven, Fla....his last start will be 8/17. He has been told he may get sent to Burlington for a couple of extra starts since he got started late in Fla.

    I'll let people know if he comes to Burlington and try and get a good group to go watch him play. I know he would enjoy that since the GCL games normally draw about 10 - 15 fans in the hot Florida sun.

    Shoot..if Ryan goes to Burlington, there will be more than 10-15 in my car alone and I drive a Yugo or is that yu-gi-ho...something like that (a foreign sports car)

    Hey Dbacks...I've got the TBR Cruise ship bought. Maybe we can find a way to sail up to Burlington or in an emergency I can press a high tech button....and ...voila....Land Cruiser

    Morris Called Up to Burlington

    Get the caravan ready, Braves. Just saw on the Minor League website where Ryan was called up to Burlington a few days ago. Isn't Chris Archer from NC? He was called up, too.

    yes, Chris Archer's from Clayton HS in Johnston County, about 15 miles east of Raleigh.

    Ryan and Chris both got called up to finish out the Season with the Burlington Indians...they both saw their first action tonight. Box scores are reversed as the announcers had the names in reverse when they came in to pitch:

    For anyone interested Ryan told me he is getting the start for the last game of the season in Burlington Wednesday 8/30 against the Danville Braves....game time is 7:00pm. Chris is also suppose to pitch in relief.

    With the Danville Braves as Burlington's opponent, a third area player will likely be on the field: Paul Bennett, former Charlotte Christian standout and Elon University infielder plays for Danville.
