Sad news

    Gary Blackmon, head softball & girls basketball coach at South Johnston HS, has died of an apparent heart attack.

    Gary was a native of the Benson area in the South Johnston community.

    Prayers please for his family, friends, community, fellow school staff, & especially his team(s).

    Gary's daughter

    For those in the Greensboro area, Gary Blackmon had a daughter Allison playing womens college basketball at Greensboro College. She's a sophomore.
