Must be nice to have media coverage like that.

Also, the Salisbury Post don't just cover Rowan County schools, as you can see they also cover Davie County, Kannapolis (Cabarrus Co) and Mooresville (Iredell Co) as well. The other thing I like about the Post, is they do a great job of daily keeping up with former players (who are now playing in college), each day they have a complete run-down of names and where they're playing now, and how they're doing.

Their sports department does just an excellent job with local sports.

JM15, I have actually told reporters from other papers that if they want to improve their own paper's local sports coverage, they should click on the Salisbury Post's website any day and check out how thorough the coverage is, each and every day.

p.s. I have noticed in recent years the Charlotte Observer routinely does a highlight on a certain athlete, not sure how often they do this, but I honestly think the Observer has tried to make strides in improving their local coverage more than just final scores. I realize big cities have so many darn schools and with the different sports teams, I know it can be tough to cover them all,,,,, but like anything else you get out of it what you put into it. The Salisbury Post has a very good product if you want to keep up with any local athletes, period.
