I would like to use this thread to thank the individual players that are graduating high school and moving on to their next life.

David Mailman- What a joy it has been to follow David's HS career the past 3 years. It's amazing that David could have won the POY in the SW4A the past 3 years before deservedly winning it this year. You will never meet a nicer young man. He would compete with the best of them and even during an intense time, always reserved a smile at the right time. David is an incredibly bright young man (got that from his Mom) and equally talented baseball player: But to me, what makes David Mailman a unique young man is his strength of character.

It has been an honor for me to get to know David; he will always remain one of my favorite people.

    Chris Luck

First of all I got the chance to meet David last summer and fall when my son played with him. What a great young man. And what a great family. David is extremely talented. But David is even a nicer young man. He always has a smile and a kind word to say. I wish him all the best in the draft and if he decides to go to Wake I will make sure I see him play while he is in college.

I would like to say good bye to a special young man , Chris Luck. I have coached this guy since he was 7 years old. He has signed with Surry CC and will be drafted. Either direction he decides to go I will support that decision. Chris is so talented. He has helped our program for four years and has really helped the guys around him. Chris has overcome some things in life that many people will never know about. Good luck Chris!

    ROCKETS WILL BE MISSED!!

To three young men I have had the pleasure to coach:

Elliott Tolley - A fine player and person, and a young man we have counted on in the big games for 2+ years... I wish him nothing but the best at Anderson Univ... I remember him in the classroom and on the field, dedicated to his team and sport.

Dustin Reaves - How could anybody not like this young man? A prankster and outgoing player, Dustin overcame a broken had as a sophomore (thrwing BP), and an ACL injury as a JR (in football but played baseball anyway). Came to life and rebounded. Has an opportunity to play college ball!!

Hunter Wrenn- A fine young man I thik of as a son... Has a great heart of humanity and is also a hard worker. Still developing as a player but in the right situation can blossom into a very good player. Great kid an I know he will succeed in whatever he does...

To each of these young men, I love you and appreicate what yu mean to me personally. You are the greatest and no matter how many pranks you tried to pull, I love you anyway!! Remember I am only a call away (and I know y'all have my cell #)

I echo what Braves has said about "The Mailman". David is a fine young mine that I have gotten to know well over the past couple of years.

David, I appreciate you taking the time after a game (win or lose) to shake my hand and thank me for coming to the game and always ask me how Ryan was doing....we are going to miss you.

Good luck at the next level.....

    Alex Hill

It has been a pleasure watching Alex play with my son the last three years. Although the team success wasn't what we would have liked he never complained. all he did was work hard, smile, became a team leader and hit everyone and everything that was thrown at him. It was also fun watching his dad( he was the very big man pacing back and forth). Alex was a super ballplayer but an even better young man. Good luck at the next level. UNC-Wilmington got a ballplayer.

    South Caldwell Spartans

OMG!! What can I say about these guys? This year has been quite a remarkable journey. I can only hope that the upcoming Varsity will come together as the close friends that these guys were. That is what made this team SO special.
I wish you TBR-ers could have been at our Spring Sports Awards. Parham always speaks so well and for the past 2 years has given a couple heart wrencing speeches. (I liked this year's much better, happy tears are always better than sad tears. LOL !) The players also awarded the Coaches and Coach's wives with gifts from them. That was awesome. I believe the jackets the coaches recieved had, 06-07 SC Spartans, A time to remember.
This has been a year to remember.

Now lets go all the way with Post 29!!! You have ten fingers, let's get another ring!!
