There is a great group of kids here. 3 of the kids are going to school for academics...Chris Howerton and Travis Woolen both going to UNC and Zac Truesdale going to Wake Forest. David Martin 2B, is going to play baseball at Guilford Tech Community College and will be on the first team that College puts together. Kenny Swab, new record holder of homeruns in a single season at East Forsyth passing ALEC ZUMWALT, is heading off to college to play baseball....I'm pretty sure he has made his decision but I will talk to him this weekend to make sure of where he is going so I can make it public and give him his condolences he deserves.

East Rutherford says goodbye to a great bunch of seniors :

Zeke Blanton - (UNC) Zeke played in 120 consecutive games over 4 years, winning 103. This isn't in the record book, but my guess is it has never been done before. A winner. Also set several school and a couple of NCHSAA records.

Ryan Leach - (UNC) Kid has as much heart as anyone I've been around. Always wants the ball in the big games. A baseball rat.

Tyler Smith - (UNC-W) Was as proud as I could be watching him pitch Game 2 vs North Lenoir. He left it out there.

Michael Melton - (Undecided) Maybe the best all-around player and the most underrated Cavalier.

Daniel Goodnight (North Greenville) , Jarrett Guffey, BJ Ledford

This group worked so hard all-offseason with one goal in mind, and made it happen. They won the last game of the season, every Senior's dream. Good luck to each.

Wow rocket..those are some major players starting their new lives. I've been following a lot of those guys since Chad Flack was there. It's amazing that they are graduating seniors already.

I am going to miss the entire South Caldwell boys. They were a special group. I also hate to see Runion from ACR and Harrington from AC. along with Bumgarner from SC. Losing 3 pitchers of this caliber from the nw4a in one year takes a lot away. It has been fun watching these guys pitch and play the game. I won't miss us having to compete against these guys but I will miss what they brought to the game. It was fun to watch Runion and Bumgarner go at it. They sure drew some big crowds. And Harrington that boy could singlehandedly take over a game on the mound or at the plate. Hope we get some to come along and take their place next year and for years to come

Oh yea Messer is outstanding and we also have a sophmore who might be pretty good also. But I was talking more about the conference as a whole. I love it when we have a "big game matchup" like Bumgarner-Runion was.
