    AC v, Freedom

7-7 at the half, in the 3rd Freedom looked like they were going to score, when JD Latham nails the RB, the ball pops loose and Latham scoops up the ball and races down the sideline escorted by 4 or 5 other Cougars for what looked to be a sure TD, (I mean no red shirts within 20 yds of him) when a Cougar defender ,15 yds behind Latham gets called for block in the back. TD called back, Cougars get the ball with good field position, drive to the 32, are stopped, a 42 yd FG attempt failed, momentum switches< freedom drives down the field and scores. Then to seal the win Freedom kicks a FG with 1:33 left in the game. Freedoms defense was too much for the Cougars O-Line tonight.

Looks like the Wildcats are legit. They beat Mooresville 17-7 a few weeks ago, @ Lake Norman, and took W. Rowan into Double OT tonite in Mt. Ulla. Mooresville took alot of heat after their loss from some of the (other) message board "experts". I wonder if those brainiacs are so sure about their opinions after this one. The NPC 3A should represent themselves well once the post season begins.

Hibriten may make a run deep in the playoffs, I may have to venture down Hwy 90 to watch them play. They'll be a tough team in the new conference next year.
