That is correct on the score...I'm afraid tonight was reality setting in for the Roberson girls. Their offense was a complete wreck and they broke 10 points with less than a minute to go in the first half. Coach Epley has a lot of work on his hands in the next few weeks. Washington and company did a great job shutting down Copney. If Roberson does recover from the loss of Dunbar, its players like Copney that will have to carry the load.

Kurie Washington scored 19 points. Ebonique Hamilton also scored 19 and the she dominated in the interior pulling down a whopping 17 boards. Xandie Gellman and Kelsea Greene scored 7 points apiece.

Dan, you're right, but what's weird is their offense is what looked so crisp last game, and most times I've seen them in the past. I think you can credit that to, not only the loss of Dunbar, but also a much better Lady Titan's defense. Copney was not the same player tonight. If you leave a lot of that faking alone, it helps to neutralize her game.

From what I could tell across the way, it was Dunbar's ankle that was wrapped, so hopefully it's not a knee.

In my opinion, Ebonique is a big key for this team. She doesn't have to score a lot, but when she plays well, McDowell will be hard to beat. I would have thought Kurie scored 9 or 10. My goodness, one of these times on a good day, she'll break 40.

Freedom wins BIG, don't know exact score 70 something to
40 something?? Ford must of had about 30 and carved up Crest with some slick passing...Morrison had a strong effort, FHS was up 19 at the half.

    Freedom 72- Crest 42

Freedom dominated Crest by 30 tonight. Crest is not bad, Freedom struggled at Crest and only won by 9 or 10 the first time. Freedom is playing very good and played probably their best overall game against the very tall Chargers. Ford had 29 and 10 assists, Morrison added a double-double with 13 and 10 boards. Alot of Lady Patriots got in on the scoring and everyone continues to contribute. Freedom hosts TCR on Friday, and the Christmas Tourney begins next Tuesday.

I'm coming to watch tomorrow night.

Roberson looked very out of synch without Dunbar. She was on crutches, so I doubt very seriously she'll be playing, although it looked like an ankle to me instead of a knee, so hopefully she will recover? Roberson still plays good defense, and are physical, but they couldn't throw it in the ocean. Look for Ford to get bumped around a lot.

It looks like Friday night, January 12 the (Freedom at McDowell) is shaping up to be another classic.

Everybody stay healthy so we can mark that on the calendar!
