I also don't want to blame the ref's. Why with 6:00 minutes to play and Hickory punting from there side of field (Hickory 40 yd line?) why rush the punter & rick the very thing that happend? Automatic 1st down & drive continues. My humble opinion A.C. could of let the punt happen & take their chances on a drive to run down the clock & if you end up having to punt the ball back to Hickory let them then get ball back with time having been run off the clock with time & field position in A.C.'s favor with a lead late.

 

We'll have to wait til Monday for the score on the Davie County - Thomasville game

East whips up on Glenn and Danny O'Brien had a great night throwing the football. East moves to 3-0...as many of you know East lost to Rocky Mount in their first game of the year, but Rocky Mount played an ineligible player and thus East Forsyth is granted the win and is now 3-0

East hosts Atkins next Friday

 

Hope the Cougars don't get down because they are playing well. They got the shaft several times in the game. Hickory assaulted a punt returner after he called fair catch and the refs missed it. Cougars got called for 2 roughing the punter penalties and it looked like a great acting job both times and that catch hit the ground no doubt about it. Fumbles and penalties are killing them and that can be fixed. The defense is playing lights out and the offense just needs to be a little more consistent. Don't give up on the Cougars, they are going to win some games, maybe a bunch of them.

 

What a bummer, hope they catch the jackasses.
