Good probe and observation, NCBBallFan. I guess this is a prime example of why you qualify for as a high school baseball moderator.

I do feel that 18 players on a high school baseball roster is a little high but, I was thinking in the back of my mind (but did not actually mention in my prediction) that probably a couple of those sophomore pitchers would actually be originally put on the jv roster list and be moved up and down from jv to varsity as needed throughout the season keeping in mind that there could be pitching injuries and the inevitable possibility of the "on" and "off" state of mind that a pitcher endures from time to time.

Last year at South Meck there were various incidents that actually put the South Meck varsity roster down to 12 players, or the "dirty dozen" that they were called by their supportive fans, at one point in the 2002 season which made it even more important to have those sophomore pitchers handy.

Actually I'm in training to be the color commentator for wrestling events....How's this sound
    "Ooooo, that's gotta hurt."
    "Can he do that????"
"Now that's gonna leave a mark!"

    Am I getting there????:D :D :D :D :D

    Braves:

Your strong source was correct with DJ starting out on the South Meck JVs this year but my strong source says that Cable will stay down as a catcher on the South Meck JVs as well with Kennedy playing up on South Meck Varsity in some type of capacity.

Well, SouthLoop, I have been wrong many times before and I'm sure I am wrong again. There is an answer to the dilemma at South Meck...field 2 varsity teams :D

There you go Braves! It's what I've been trying to tell everyone all along. Andy should have put South Meck 1st with a loaded line up like that. Two varsities...wow...the numbers never cease to amaze me! If you guys were a college you would be accused of stockpiling!!!:) I mean you guys have sources and everything. Very high tech! It sounds like a spy movie!!! Very intriguing...

    Thanks bIg fan:

Keep on posting and round up your buddies. We need more Meca8 influence on this board. (and NPC, SPC, BigSouth, etc)....

Nothing against the SW4A or NW4A, but...... I think both are loaded for bear this year. This could be a tough two weeks of inter-conference play with those senior dominated squads "down south" of us.

A strong source has informed me that a Sabre fan is using the word green in this thread. It shall be reported.

    Trey Starnes

I have seen Trey Starnes play for the last three years and every year he gets better. He his a great kid with a wonderful attitude and strong parental support.
