East Burke has a scrimmage @ Hibriten Saturday, and opens up @ Fred T. Foard next Wednesday.

Well since I am a player for East Burke I will try not to just blow us out of proportion because even though i think we have a Great chance of winning conference, I think our hittin has to come around and prove itself. Pitching this year will be covered preety good with Jeremy Yoder(senior righty) and Steven Stewart(senior righty) that both have trained extremly hard over the winter. Myself being one of them, I think we will raise a few eyebrows to other teams.

    Lineup consists of this:
1B Weston Ijames(posible DH), Andy McCall (good athlete)
2B Robbie Putnam, (strong arm, football qb, athlete, also pitches)
SS Walt Plemmons (quick hands, leader of infeild)
3B Bryan Burns (real quick hands, also pitches)
C Jake Angi (slow feet but good catcher with good blocking)
    LF James Bame (contack hitter)
CF Ryan Clanton (quick with descent arm)
RF Trey Hamby (very strong arm)
Utility Dustin Hull (will be playin mulitple positions(OF, 2B this year)
P Yoder, Stewart (both upper 80s)

Sounds like you have what it takes - senior leadership, good hitting and two strong arms on the bump. Keep us posted about the other teams you face this year.

Thanks again..... chime in anywhere, anytime.

Ashbrook is supposed to scrimmage Burns @ Ashbrook, 4:30, Thursday, if the field drys. Saturday Ashbrook travels to Mt. Tabor for a round robin scrimmage starting at 12 noon. Don't know who the other team(s) may be. Ashbrook opens the season at home 2/27 against Kings Mtn. @4:30 (if the field drys!).

Much more of this wet weather and we can start posting
weigh-ins for the High Scool BASS circuit!!

Maybe we should send a TBR reporter to the game of the week.

I imagine the position of "Game of the Week" Reporter pays pretty well. I may "private message" my resume to you guys!
