    Gee- whats happened to our score pipeline? It's getting where the afternoon newspaper is faster than our board. Sure was nice when you could see all the playoff scores by 11pm or midnite. Thanks for the area 4 scores we are getting.

    Henderson County 5, Gastonia 2
    Mike Facchinei went all 9 for Henderson County to even the series at one game a piece.

    Greensboro goes up 1-0 in the series. One bad inning for Winston in the second where some errors and timely hitting gave Greensboro a 5-0 lead. Winston got 3 runs back in the 3rd on a 3 run homer by Torrie Johnson.

    Greensboro was led by Charlie Gamble 3-4 with a HR and Chad Baker who was 1-4 and played an incredible game at short stop.

    Steele Creek is down 2-0 in it's series with Caldwell County.

    SC travels to Caldwell County tonight.

    Payton Tweddale is on the mound for Steele Creek.

    Game 3 in Gastonia:

    Henderson County 8
    Gastonia 7

    A masterpiece tonight at Ashbrook High School. Levi Wright started for Henderson County and went 7 strong giving up 4 runs, 1 earned. Henderson County was down 5-2 going into the top of the 9th facing Wes McCall, who totally dominated Henderson County in Game 1. With two outs and the bases loaded Luke Lovelace hit a bases clearing triple to tie the game.

    Extra innings ensued after an uneventful bottom half of the 9th.

    In the top of the 10th Henderson County put two runners on for Jackie Corn with two outs when he drove out a 3-run HR.

    Seth Williams came in to close in the bottom half and got two quick outs, followed by a walk and a pinch hit homerun to make it 8-7 Henderson County. Williams struck out the last batter on a full count to end the game.

    Henderson County now leads the series 2-1 and game 4 is at East Henderson High School Wednesday night at 7 pm.
