    Hey guys. Week #2 is already here and I have already heard of a lot of great games that are going to be played this week. So, everybody put their results on this thread. Thanks.

    What a week this is going to be...with North and East Gaston going at it tonight, and Hopewell and South going at it tomorrow....should be a great week to be a high school baseball fan.

    East Rutherford 11 Crest 1

    The first 9 batters of the game reached base safely for East Rutherford as they jumped out to an 8-0 lead and never looked back. So. Michael Melton's 3-run Homer was the big blow. Melton later added a 2-run shot. Robbie Pruett added a solo shot for the Cavs, who only batted 4 times as the game ended after 4 1/2. East Rutherford is now 4-1 on the season.

    Yow did a great job on the mound for the East Gaston team. They are going to be strong defensively this season. Particularly impressive was the SS for EG, Evan Jonas. The guy made every play, showed great lateral movement and flashed a good arm.

    EG isn't going to be a pushover for anyone. They may not score alot, but you are going to have to earn everything against them.
