    Parkland @ Glenn

I went to watch a few players from Glenn when they opened against Parkland and saw more than I had hoped for. Gbball86 said he figured it would be closer one than in the past and the score in this one didnt do the game justice. Glenn won 6-0 but Parkland played very well but Glenn just hit the ball. CJ Beatty can flat out fly in centerfield. Jon Helsaback, the shortstop from Parkland absolutely mashed one to center and CJ ran it down and caught it in stride.
Players that looked goos in this big game:
    Glenn
    Ryan Caldwell (Sr.) SS
    Derek Koone (Jr.) P
    CJ Beatty (?) CF
    Parkland
    Jon Helsaback (Jr.) SS
    Robert Johnson (Jr.) C
    Cory Snyder (Jr.) P
    Jared Dodds (Jr.) P

    Charlotte Christian 10; Ashbrook 2

    WP: Bard

christian hit the ball well today, had multiple guys with multiple hits. bard went 3-4 HR 3 rbi's, mcverry went 2-2, k. fulginiti went 2-3 2B, m. fulginiti went 2-3 2 rbi's, gantner also had 2 hits with a triple off the wall. defense played well for the knights and bard pitched well in the gale force winds. drew martin went 1-2 i think with a 2b.

christian will play RJ Reynolds Friday in the northwest guilford tournament

Heard that there were 110 MPH sustained winds for awhile on the outer banks yesterday afternoon. Not QUITE baseball weather. :banginghe

Stumpman will give better results than I but thought I would throw it out there that Piedmont beat Anson 1-0 behind a 2 hit, 17 K performance by Timmy King. Kid is just sick!
