Tough loss for the Blue Devils; especially in Matt's senior year. The NW Cabarrus Trojan fans and players wish Matt a speedy recovery and we hope to see him in April.

That's a ton of pitches for a non-conference game in the 2nd week of the season. ... Using the formula of 1 hours rest for every pitch, he's Ok for tuesday, but he may still be a bit sore.

I missed this earlier today when I was scanning the board....

Give Matt our best ... hopefully, he'll come back stronger than before.

Mooresville: You guys hang in there.

    Indy vs Providence

yeah indy was pitching some guy that providence just lit up. mauney, mailman, and seminuk all hit hr's. that field is a launching pad for hitters. besselivre pitched well for phs, indy did not hit the ball well. phs can sure hit the ball and i think thatll phs has a shot at the sw4a title, they have so many athletes. indy did lose alot of pitching last year and well as 3B kirkpatrick, i think that has something to do with the recent losses this season

Thanks guys, Mooresville was already weakened from the loss of 6 seniors off of a .500 ball club from last season and pitching took the biggest hit. The reason you did not see this Pops is because I added the box score several hours after posting the game score. Coach threw some freshmen against Concord late in the game yesterday to see if they could help bolster the pitching staff in any way possible. Concord hit 4 HR's in the last 2 innings.

East Montgomery 8 South Davidson 1

Senior pitcher Dustin Powers did a wonderful job starting pitching tonight, 4 innings of shutout ball. He also had a HR.

Sophmore pitcher Wil Lambert the same guy that pitched a no no last week for the JV's, was permanatly pulled up to Varsity this week. In his first Varsity outing he pitched the last three innings, giving up one hit, and struck out 4. Some errors in the infield and outfield led to one run scored while Lambert was on the mound, (unearned.) Lambert also batted .500 with a stand up triple. Welcome to Varsity Wil.

South Davidson just couldn't get anything going, and East Montgomery's hitters were merciless with their bats.

Leading hitters for the Panthers included David Mailman 3-4 (HR, 3 RBIs), Cory Dunning 3-4 (2 RBIs), Keith Mauney 2-3 (HR, 3 RBIs), Ryan Semeniuk 2-3 (HR, 2 RBIs) and Austin Stephenson 2-3 (1 RBIs).

Another "ugly" game....not much to write about. Leading hitters for Olympic were Rob Zaney 2-4 and Nate Staton 2-4 with 2 RBIs. Vance's leading hitters were Alex Hill 2-3 and Bret McNaulty (???) 2-4.
