    Mint Hill 9 Gastonia P:eek:st 23 4

    Mint hill plays well after the strong early innings by Post 23's Aaron Rumburg on the mound. Dalton Eisenbath gets MH on the board in the 4th with a RBI single to tie it at 1-1. An inning later Andrew Moser hits a 2 out full count bases loaded single to make it 5-1. Gastonia scores a run to get within 3 runs 5-2 in the sixth. Eisenbath then put it out of reach hitting a 3-1 fastball over the CF wall that put MH Post 4059 up 8-2. Ross Rushing added 2 RBI as MH improved to 7-2. David Bancroft gets the win on the hill. MH will play Post 23 again today at 7pm at Sims Legion Park.

    It was really great seeing Tyler and his dad at Butler last night, just like old times. Tyler threw out the first pitch (a low strike) and got the business from the PA announcer:roflmao: Tyler had a fantastic year at App. and was rewarded in the MLB draft, so cool. This kid always worked hard and that always ends up paying off. Congrats TT !!

    Mint Hill 8 Gastonia Post 23 3

    MH overcame a 3 run hole and scored 6 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th to rally past Gastonia 8-3 at Sims Legion Park. Tommy Ollis had a ground rule double and later added a 2 RBI triple for Mint Hill. Brandon Wolf, Aaron Bevis and Dalt Eisenbath also had 2 hits. Sergio Patsy pitched a gutsy 8 innings on 107 pitches to get the win. MH is now 8-2 and Gastonia falls to 2-6.
