    Montgomery County 6 (7 innings)

    WP: Russell Michalec
    LP: Mark Atkins

    Rowan earns a non-league win over Montgomery. Rowan scores 6 runs in the first inning to put MC away early. Trey Holmes and Billy Veal had three hits a piece for Rowan. MC committed 8 errors on the evening to worsen their cause. Russell Michalec started the game for Rowan but didn't go the full number of innings to earn the win giving up all six MC runs. Rowan is at Western Forsyth on Monday in another non-league game. Rowan improves to 11-4 overall and stays 5-4 in Area III Southern Division play.

    Wilson falls to 3-1 in Area I East, North Division, 10-2 overall; Rocky Mount grabs first place at 2-0, 5-1 overall. Nine walks, a hit batter and constantly pitching behind in the count made for a long night. A slew of pop-ups and double plays offensively, so credit to RM pitcher Hobbs Johnson.

    Mocksville Senior Legion beat Statesviile last night 10 to 6..Mocksville record 9wins 6 losses overall-5 wins 4 losses in conference play..Play at Mooresville tonight

    Durham had the bats going tonight as this game ended in 7 innings. Ari Seelinger (Riverside) threw a complete game, giving up 2. Durham improves to 4-5 overall, and 2-1 in conference.

    Durham is at N. Raleigh (Millbrook High School) tonight (6/17) at 7pm.

    Mooresville beat Mocksville last night 8 to 1.

    Mooresville takes on Concord tonight at Mooersville.
