I never said that 3 runs wasn't a solid win, just putting into perspective that if we're "not good", shouldn't you have won by A LOT more? Our schedule has been like it's been since I started here- play good teams on the road early, see where you stand, and prepare for a playoff run.
Legion baseball is a marathon, not a sprint.

Hey Eagles - are you going to the game? I think I may go tonight. If you do look me up - I'll be the only guy stupid enough to wear a TBR hat in public...:blank:

the Hi-Toms will be lucky to get a hit.

No worries though - if your Mom gets too rowdy I'll tell her to pipe down

Nice way not to reply directly to my comments. I would like to know how many times since, say, 1991, Wilson has won the Area I East title. And there is a reason why Wayne and Wilson are not playing for the first time since Wayne returned to Legion baseball in 1978. But we won't get personal here.

As far as Durham is concerned, no negative comments are intended other than to make an evaluation based on your record. I never said we were that good. But we'll be all right, as we usually are. Look me up if you come to SWHS. I will be in the press box.

Eagles your brother pitched really well tonight going 8 innings. Hi-Toms tagged him for four back to back extra base hits in the seventh (the second a 2 run HR by Brock Hudgens) and had no outs with runners on second and third but he pitched out of it.

Prior to the seventh I think he had only given up a single and a walk.

Matt Dillon took the loss for the Hi-Toms. He pitched well too.

Rowan suffers their fourth league setback of the year to drop to 4-4 in Area III South play. Rowan had beaten Mocksville this past Sunday so now they are even in the league. A couple of costly errors cost Rowan, but inconsistent pitching right now is hurting worst than anything. Rowan was missing Noah Holmes, Zach Smith, and Phillip Miclat due to the state games. Micah Jarrett also sat out due to a knee problem. Mocksville took an early 1-0 lead thanks to an error and a miss played flyball in the outfield. Rowan stormed back for 5 runs to take the lead at 5-1, but Mocksville answered back with a two run homer to cut the lead. Mocksville scored 4 runs in the top of the 9th to end any Rowan hopes of a rally. Rowan looks to bounce back Saturday night as they host Concord.

On a side note: Hopefully Mocksville will release two players (Hernan Bauteista & Zack Simpson) who want to play for Rowan and both attend West Rowan high school. Now that Mocksville will not play Rowan anymore in the regular season. Mocksville has always had problems releasing players, especially to Rowan. If you remember about the whole Zeb Link thing and then also Wade Moore. It's really ridiculous to think about, but what can you do.
