Sept 3rd (and Sept 2nd) Varsity Scores

I gave a shout out to 4A Davie Co. before the season started (although i picked Crest last night). They have a good program up there and this year they have the talent to go along with it. So far this season they have beaten 3A powers W. Rowan and Crest. We have been playing them for several seasons now and they are comming to Mooresville this Friday.

Mooresville played better in this game but still has room for improvement imo. Offensively EJ Wilson had the outside all night long but lost two fumbles in the second half, one inside the Cougar red zone. QB Brett Champion has proven himself to have a big time arm, hitting HB Josh Forney for a long TD pass after breaking free from defensive pressure on one play. The Devil defense picked off 4 AC passes, CB Caleb Diggs getting 2 of them. Hopefully the Devils will tackle better in the upcomming weeks and hang on to the rock more. It does not get any easier this week as Davie Co. comes to town.

 

Anyone heard a score on Anson and W. Montgomery?
