Shane Basen Verbally Commits to Charlotte 49ers!

    2009 IF/OF Shane Basen of Marvin Ridge HS and the South Charlotte Panthers verbally committed to the Charlotte 49ers! Shane will be an extremely valuable player for Coach Hibbs as his athleticism allows him to play any position on the field other than P or C. Couple that with a GPA well over 4.0 and being the type of kid you'd want your daughter to date makes the 49ers a very lucky ball team to attract such a great young man.

    Congratulations Bruce, Debbie, Alyssa and you too Shane!

    An outstanding young man and an equally talented player. There are some players that you cheer just a little louder for....Shane Basen is that young man for me. I am completely amazed at the turnaround recruiting philosophy by the 49'ers in the past 4-5 years. And this recruiting class may be their best

    Shane and the Basen family congratulations from your friends in Pfafftown. Once again another young man who is such a terrific person from our Panther family! Best of luck!!!!!! You deserve it!!!!

    Great News Shane

    Congratulations Shane and family, I now have another reason to go watch UNCC baseball. What a fine young man and baseball player. Great glove and line drive hitter that plays well no matter where you put him. One of those guys that just loves to play baseball.

    And if I had a daughter...
