Copperheads 18u hosted a tourney this weekend and one 3 and tied one with the Anglers. They will be down in Columbia this weekend. The team is undefeated so far and is looking good.

The Palmetto Sand Gnats are putting the tourney on. They were the Diamond Travelers. Anglers, Copp 18's, Hurricanes, sportstech, pendleton cards, pendleton braves, upstate express, west carteret, pro level, and the sand gnats. Should be some very good teams. Mark Bonnette does a good job with his teams and tourneys.

    On Deck O's weekend games

    On Deck O's 17's - 6
    On Deck O's 16's - 2

    WP: Carrigan

The 17's jumped out to a 5-0 lead using wood bats this weekend. They played stellar defense and ran the bases well today and handled the 16's. The 16's hit the ball hard at times, just right at guys. They booted the ball around a couple times which gave the 17's a couple runs. Overall a well played game.

What a great name :roflmao:...leave it to my brother Columbians to come up with that. I remember the Traveler's well. They always had a very good team.

    South Charlotte Panthers 3

    Florida Hawks 6

    SCP 3 7 2

    FH 6 8 0

    WP: Robby Hubbard

    LP: Erik Sommerville(2-1)
    Starter Josh Salay(3-0) 4 IP 6 K

LH: SCP: Whit Merrifield 1-2(2B); Preston Shuey 1-2; Zach Parmer 1-2.
    FH: Roland Torres 3-3(2B)

The 14-3-1 Panthers, after earning the 5th seed in the championship bracket return home today with the single elimination loss to the Florida Hawks.
The team had an uncharacteristic day with physical and mental fielding errors combined with leaving 10 runners on base ending their run at the USA Junior Olympics.

The Panthers schedule goes into full gear with wood bat games:

June 30 Thursday On Deck 16's DH @ Central Cabarrus

July 2 Saturday East Cobb DH @ Furman University

July 3 Sunday Atlanta Blue Jays @ Wofford University

July 4 Monday Carolina Xpress @ USC Upstate

July 5-10 Perfect Game 17U Wood Bat Nationals
