    Dirtbag UPDATE

    Dirtbags---12
    E. Cobb Patriots-2

After an embarrassing performance in game 1 the Dirtbags played well in 2 games to advance from pool play. The Dirtbags scored 9 runs in the top of the 6th to blow the game open. The first game was by ar the worst played all summer by the Dirtbags, but the last 2 games have been played well for the most part.

    Perfect Games 18U results

After a lot of rain delays, rain cancellations etc., and a lot of headaches for the tournament committee they ended pool play on Friday and this is how area teams faired:

Advancing to the Championship Bracket :trophy: were the following teams:

    Carolina Copperheads 18 Select
    On Deck O's 05
    Carolina Cubs
    Diamond Devils
    Palmetto Sandgnats

    The following teams didn't qualify:

    The Dirtbags
    The Fungo RedSox
    The Carolina Gators
    Pro Level
    On Deck O's

    The competition was outstanding.

Actually the Dirtbags did make the championship round. They played the Louisiana All Stars losing 9-8. There was some controversy (what's new) through out the game, ending with a time limit call with batters on base.

This was a very confusing week for all the teams. You never were sure where you were going to play, when you are going to play or if you were going to play. Wasn't PG's fault. Jerry Ford tried to control the weather...but oh, well.

    On Deck O's '06

After getting screwed out of championship play the On Deck O's won their final 3 game convincingly and ended the week with a 3-1-1 record. I applaud the PG people for doing everything they could to help everyone get their games in.

Here are scores from yesterdays and todays game

    On Deck O's - 7
East Cobb Players Club - 0

    WP: Bennett

    On Deck O's - 8
    ABD Bulldogs - 4

    WP: Layman

Anyone know how the championship came out

in Atlanta? I know the Cubs won their first bracket play game against Connecticut Bombers but then lost 7-4 to Dulins Dodgers (TN).
