    SC Pelicans

    won their opener in Louisville, KY at AAU 17U Nationals. Beat Olumpus (UT) Titans 6-4. Team really struggled defensively with four errors but rallied late behind a three run bomb by Brooks Arnette. Mac Read tossed a four hitter to get the win.

    The bats and weather were hot in a game featuring 24 hits including 8 doubles a triple and 3 HR.

    The 24-6-2(1-0-1) Panthers go into game three on Thursday with a must win game versus the East Cobb Yankees to advance into the championship brackets.

    The Carolina Copperheads beat the Dallas Panthers 10-0 to go to 1-1 in their pool. The Copperheads play Thur. versus the East Cobb Eagles.

    The Dirtbags won their first game at East Cobb 15-0. They had a good showing two weeks ago in the 17U tournament and should do well this week.

    The Dirtbags won their second game today 2-0 at East Cobb. Greg Holt pitched a 1 hit, 11 strikeout comlplete game. With the win, the Dirtbags have already clinched a spot in the championship round.

    4-2 over Indianapolis Bulldogs. Jordan Carter with the complete game win. Mo Seay with a big bomb.

    SC Pelicans go to 3-0 with

    a 7-0 win over the Cecil Cty (MD) Sharks. Hewitt Scarborough with the shutout on the mound and Kendall Williams went yard.

    O's 17u @ Catamount Classic

    On Deck O's - 4
    Carolina Titans - 7

    The O's played sloppy and allowed the titans to pull the upset.

    On Deck O's - 8
    Upstate Express - 7

    After going down 5-0 in the 2nd the O's battled back and scored 8 un answered runs in a wild game. A tough express team almost made a comeback of their own scoring 2 runs in the 7th but came up short.

    On Deck O's - 2
    Upstate Express - 1

    Matt Layman pitched a complete game gem. Andy Holcomb made a spectacular diving catch on a ball over his head to save the tying run from scoring in the 7th inning and allowed the O's to win their bracket.

    The O's finished pool play with a record of 3-1. the Dirtbags also finished 3-1, but the head to head tie breaker gives the O's the #1 seed and the Dirtbags the #2 seed going into championship play.
