    The B Team?

Your comment got me thinking. Because I'm most familiar with the Dirtbags and they too have a "B" team I decided to do some investigative work. I took a look at the website to see where else Dirtbags are playing other than the ACC and SEC. Just looking at the 2011's (which are on campus now) I noticed the following schools represented. UNCW, UNCC, Elon, UNC Asheville, Gardner Webb, UNC Pembroke, Campbell, Wingate, Brevard and others.

It doesn't matter which team your son is on. The colleges ultimately decide who to offer a scholarship to. It seems to me that the "B" teams are a pretty good idea. I know for a fact that AP does a fantastic job matching up players with the schools that are most likely to be interested in their skills and talents. So do several of the other programs like the Canes, Cubs, Charlotte Canes, Champions Baseball Academy, GBC, and I could go on and on.

The problem lies in when the evaluations of the showcase coaches and college recruiters don't match up with the opinion the parent has of their son. I'm pretty sure the college recruiters don't miss a beat. It's their job! They are professionals. Give them some credit for knowing what they are doing. And the showcase coaches do to.
