    Here is a good one ... a particular favorite of Braves and mine....

    Greg Garmon, Butler HS: Defensive Tackle (football) & first base (baseball), will play both sports at Averett College, VA.

    What wonderful news for Greg!! He is extremely deserving. There is not another first baseman nor defensive tackle in the state that has made the sacrifices Greg has.

    I heard Zack Phillips signed with Louisburg. Also heard Justin Brown had committed there. They must be losing all their pitching with the number of pitchers they have signed.

    Braves I saw this on ihigh and thought you would be interested. You asked about Ricky Payne ( that big 'ol boy behind the plate ) and if he had signed with anybody. It looks like he has...


    Ragsdale baseball foursome going to the next level


    Four baseball players from Ragsdale have committed to play college baseball. Alex Sink has committed to Georgia, Ricky Payne to Barton and Chad Baker and Matt Kepley are both headed to Catawba.
