    Tell me and the rest of TBR what the hell is going on at Crest.

    We want the real lowdown. All that I'm hearing doesn't sound very good.

    Word is that Travis Padgett and 2 or 3 other starters are gone. It appears that Coach Kirby will not allow the players to dictate, regardless of talent, the Crest program. You never know what could happen in the next couple days, but as of right now what may have been the highest recruited player in Crest High history is no longer on the team.

    just seems strange to see players deserting the team when they are a favorite to win the state.

    It just takes a couple of talented players to make a diference between a great team and an okay team.

    And I don't believe Coach Kirby gave them much choice about staying. It started with a group of about 8 and a situation at practice. Some of the players came back when Coach Kirby told them to go and I believe aplogized, they were able to run it out.

    I have known Roy Kirby a long time an always thought he was an outstanding coach. This just proves he's going to do what is right, even if it cost the team some wins. You have to keep things in check, esp. when teenagers are being told that they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Ask Ohio State about players running the show. I hope the situation is resolved and all these young men are back in a Crest uniform, but I support Coach Kirby 100% in the decisions he makes.

    Its good to hear that Kirby is taking control of this program,it is long overdue that these students be taught to go by the rules or else.I for one wont care if Crest drops a few more games as long as you see the players left play with heart and sweat and guts.This team has been loaded with so much top shelf talent to let the attitude of 3 or 4 players to ruin it with egos and half a$$ efforts.I hope these kids learn a valuable lesson from this and maybe one or 2 will come back and appologize once they realize that they dont run the team.Too many whispers of discontent have leaked out from this program for several years now and I hope this staightens some of that out.I for one will continue to support stongly the program regardless of who is or isnt on the field!!!!!!
