Video of Middle Creek HS pulling back up to the school after winning 4A State Title.

AWESOME community support. We had 2 fire trucks and 2 cop cars escort us off the highway back into the school. One police car escorted us all the way home from Durham.

    Couple of memories

Spotting the future ballplayers. I consistently saw 2 JV players at SW4A varsity games watching and supporting their varsity teammates. Sometimes given rides by their mothers to the playoff games. David and Nate will continue to improve as ballplayers for AK and Providence, respectively. Because when others were hanging out, they were paying attention to baseball. My guess is that their hard work will pay off one day. My guess is that they are just itching to be leaders on their respective teams.

Cuthbertson vs. Piedmont for conference championship. JD Long taking pregame infield was a thing of beauty, his bounce, athleticism, and arm. Piedmont playing hard. Andrew Hendel with broken bat single to right, and oppo double off fence, and throwing his hardest in 7th.

Campana diving for an AK bunt, laying out in the game at AK. Thorton pumping his fist after striking out Campana in the 1st inning at AK.

Olympic going 11-0 to start the season.

    Butler improving and finishing strong.

Watching a TC Roberson freshman throwing ....what 84?

Cuthbertson taking Providence to extra innings in their early season matchup.

Reagan/AK and Mt Tabor/Providence both go extra innings in round 1 at the same time.

SMeck throwing every pitcher in the bullpen at Providence except Mauldin. Providence answering with so much offense that it was what 17-0?

SM battling and loosing to Marvin Ridge in a 1-0 game. Andrew Mauldin vs. Tyler Chadwick in a pitchers duel.

Ty Buttrey making the scouts buzz around with Video cameras hooked to radar guns, talking on their cell phones... And showing that my pocket radar really does read 96.

Myers Park hosting the Jack Sink tourney. East Meck announcer's great since of humor and playing that classic "Delta Dawn". If you'd have only played some Merle Haggard.....click below to enjoy a classic..."Fighting Side of Me" which still runs true today...IMO.

It seemed like it would never get here....then it's gone.

    Lots of memories for me.....

Sean Collins fighting for the wins when he didn't have his best stuff...

    Andrew Knight hitting home runs......
    Grand slam at Providence
2 run homer to get the lead against Carson (final 2-1 Weddington)

Jeremy Shellhorn get clutch hit after clutch hit.....

Alex Bostic hitting the top 10% of the scoreboard on his home run to give his team the lead in the State Championship (estimated @ 450'-490'). Bostic sending lots of players on the slow walk back to the dugout after being struck out.

Huneycutt, to Prillaman, to Shellhorn double plays, this one happened a bunch and it never got old....

Peydon Huneycutt pitching a complete game in the regional finals for the win. Only the second outing for him this spring.

Chris Simpson sparking his team with oppo doubles....

The best memory for me is watching my sons final game. I have a photo of him with his State Championship medal and the State Championship plaque. This championship was won with several of his best friends from his Coach Pitch days. This was a team win, a team goal met, and a baseball career complete.
